Kal's Community Project – No knifes, No Gun's, More Lives

We at KCP want to help, support and educate young people.

Our organisation focuses on addressing the root causes of youth violence to help reduce its impact on young people and society. The primary focus of Kal’s community projects is to help and support young disadvantaged vulnerable individuals. KCP also endeavours to educate young people, their families and the local community by raising awareness of issues such as mental health, domestic violence, gang violence, alcohol/drug abuse and knife crime.

Mentoring Workshops

We provide 1:1 and group mentoring. We work with experienced professionals to provide young people with access to mentoring. We have a buddy programme where we pair individuals to a suitable mentor who helps and supports them.

Mindfulness Workshops

Our mindfulness workshops are 1 - 2 hrs in duration and they are run by our team working in collaboration with the talented Sarah Westwood from Sound Healing Midlands. The aim of these workshops is to help boost mental well-being and help young people to relax.

Community Walks

The KCP team has enjoyed providing young people access to planned works at the Cannon Hill Park and Handsworth Parks. These walks have followed government social distancing guidelines and have meant that young people have enjoyed their walks in a safe and secure environment.

Food Banks

Our monthly foodbanks have helped and supported at least 40 residents within local housing via associates and partners in Birmingham, through the pandemic.
